Everyone has probably heard about Sardinia, Sicily and Capri, but island Italy does not end there. There are many more small and beautiful islands there.
The dream of a vacation on a paradise island is easily fulfilled, since you don’t have to travel far to do it. After all, there are Italy, Greece, Spain, Croatia and many other European countries whose islands are worth a look at least briefly.
BORROMEAN ISLANDS
The Borromean Islands are a group of small islands located in Lake Maggiore. Of the three large islands and two small ones, only one is inhabited— Isola dei Pescatori. The rest contain palaces and gardens.
On the island Isola Bella The Borromeo Palace and park are located on the island. In 1632, King III of the Borromeo family decided to build a luxurious country residence on this island. During the 18th century, all the aristocrats of Europe flocked to this island, including Napoleon and Josephine. Today, the island hosts annual classical music festivals.

AEOLIAN ISLANDS
The Aeolian Islands consist of six small islands: Lipari, Salina, Vulcano, Stromboli and Strombolicchio, Filicudi, Alicudi, Panarea, and Basiluzzo. They are located in the Tyrrhenian Sea near the island of Sicily. The islands are home to two active volcanoes (Stromboli and Vulcano). On Lipari and Vulcano, you can see a rather exotic sight: fumaroles. These are cracks and craters on the slopes and at the base of volcanoes, from which gases emitted from magma rise to the surface. Thermal springs and salt lakes are also found on almost all the islands.
During the summer, a ferry from Naples departs three times a week to the islands. You can also charter a boat to any island on any day.
Accommodation cost: from 40$
EGADIAN ISLANDS
The Aegadian Islands are located off the western coast of the mother island of Sicily. They are renowned for their crystal-clear waters, small bays, and caves. The largest island is Favignana.
One of the strange and slightly wild sights you can witness is tuna fishing, which is carried out using the ancient fishing technique of "La Mattanza".
The islands can be reached by plane to Trapani (Sicily) and from there by speedboat.

However, due to their close proximity to Tunisia, these islands have a somewhat unfavorable reputation due to their large number of illegal immigrants.
