Bibione -\u00a0<\/b>this is a small resort town located in an area called the Venetian Riviera (about 60 km to the famous city on the canals).<\/p>\n

In the former fishing village, 60 years ago, a lot of money was invested so that a huge beach would appear along the low-lying Adriatic coast, stretching for 8 kilometers (by the way, as in the town of Lido di Jesolo, the closest to Venice, with which Bibione is often compared). But at the same time, Bibione beach is the widest on the coast - the water flows of the Baselege and Tagliamento rivers carried a huge amount of sand to the sea, which only had to be leveled to create a \u201cscourge\u201d - a strip in some places of more than 200 meters.<\/p>\n

\u2026And it seems as if no one lives here\u2014only vacationers; the city itself is indistinguishable from its surroundings. People from many Italian cities work in the bars, shops, and restaurants. A church was built to match this city\u2014modern and completely unconventional. The cross and the nearby Madonna sculpture suggest that this is a temple, not just some structure for human needs. And across the road stands a hotel, almost indistinguishable in form and lines\u2026 The resort can be divided into two main areas: Bibione Spiaggia and Bibione Pineta. The first area is more suited to active recreation and entertainment, while the second, with more apartments and cottage villages among evergreen pines, is ideal for a more relaxing time.<\/p>\n

About 30 years ago, unique thermal springs were discovered here, immediately boosting the resort's reputation. At Bibione Terme (incidentally, located next to the faceless church), you can experience any personalized thalassotherapy course. They offer one-time treatments, or they can arrange cycles lasting 2-3 days or two weeks.<\/p>\n

Beyond the second line from the beach, as in many similar resort towns, is the main shopping street, where prices are slightly higher than in large Italian cities but lower than in Venice. It's always crowded with vacationers and street musicians, predominantly the world-famous, restless Chileans, clad in traditional stylized Indian ponchos. Of course, at night, there are discos where our girls are immediately offered marriage. No, I think I got that a bit wrong. It seems the local machos are initially looking for something a little different, but at the same time they can be "insanely gallant \u2013 they steal gorgeous burgundy roses from the nearest flowerbeds," which Russian beauties, yearning for romance, then try their best to preserve, for example, by bringing them home stuck in small mineral water bottles. The beach: You can play volleyball and water sports on the beaches. There are tennis courts, mini-golf, and other joys of active recreation.<\/p>\n

As you approach the town, you'll see stables\u2014prancing on the grounds and horseback riding\u2014another aristocratic feature of these parts. The sand here is harrowed between rows of armies of covered sun loungers by Fiat tractors, creating a beautiful and tidy beach for the next day of relaxation. And along the surf line, where the sea dumps brown algae overnight, resembling a chewed-up, crumpled tape, a sizable technocratic machine drives, cleaning and collecting the weeds, sifting the sand and returning it... Almost every hotel here has a spot among the endless rows of umbrellas, sun loungers, and chaise lounges. Just sign up for a numbered pass at the counter and off you go: you search for your three-digit number in a sea of chairs\u2014that is, pfft\u2014a spot "in and out of the sun."<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even in the early hours after dawn, there's a real buzz here. Mothers with strollers, happy pensioners, men and women in the prime of their lives, children with shovels and buckets, ready to build brand-new sand cities... Italian Evpatoria. Because the fine sand on the beach slopes gently into the sea, Bibione is teeming with children. Five to ten meters from the shore, a very fine strip of drifted sand begins again (more on this feature below). The water, slightly murky due to the sand, rolled in quite impressive waves for the children, providing them with additional pleasure.<\/p>\n

\u2026I remember a laughing, happy little boy\u2014he was catching water, or maybe foam, with a net. Why do adults stop enjoying life so much?<\/p>\n

And there is not much traffic in Bibione, so you can safely let your children go alone to go ride the mini-attractions on the \u201cmain shopping street\u201d.<\/p>\n

For longer trips with parents, beyond the "fourth line" is a rather impressive Luna Park with large slides and carousels, as well as plenty of space for cyclists, and parking for cars and campers.<\/p>\n

In Bibione, Italians themselves vacation, there are a lot of Germans, Czechs are also encountered, and now Russian speech is often heard.<\/p>\n
